This Cultural Village in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia, requested new ideas to help the village thrive.

This tourist-focused living museum was the first of it’s kind on the island of Sabah and is extremely important for the Kadazan people. Several replica cultural villages have been built in recent years and Monsopiad soon saw a rapid decline in the number of tourists coming to visit the village.

In a short period of time, I:
  • Developed a research plan
  • Executed observational research of tourists attending the site
  • Discussed the execution of an online survey for travel agencies
  • Discussed future initiative ideas based on key consumer insights and employee interviews
